DR. CORDNER WEDS AT ST. JOHN'S The white organdie gown which Miss Elisabeth Anne Baillieu will wear for her marriage to Dr. Edward Pruen Cordner at St. John's, Toorak, late today, is cut on sculptured lines with a slight train. The bride is the second daughter of Mrs Harold Coldham, of Echuca, and of the late Mr H. L. Bail- lieu, formerly of Echuca. The bridegroom, the eldest son of Dr. and Mrs E. R. Cordner, of "Ashmead," Greensborough, is a former champion Melbourne and Victorian League foot baller. The bride will be given away by her brother, Peter. Her graceful gown has em bossings of gold and white tiger lilies made from mother-of-pearl sequins on the bodice, which has- a swathed drapery about the neckline. A drift of white tulle over her hair will re place the more conven tional bridal veil, and she will carry long - stemmed white lilies, tied with gold ribbons. Mrs Desmond Deasey will attend her sister, wear ing . a bouffant gown of white embroidered or gandie with an off-the- shoulder"' neckline. Three mother-of-pearl lilies on a band will hold her hair back from her face, and she will carry lilies. Her little daughter, Claire, will be a flower girl. Her frock is a replica of her mother's, and she will carry steph- anotis. PEARL PINK A PEARL pink satin red- ingote, over a pink marquisette gown, will be worn by Miss Jean Stan hope when she Is married to Mr Philip Gent at St. John's, Footscray, late to day. The bride, only daughter of Mr and Mrs G. W. Stanhopfe, of Rowe Street, Maribyrnong, will wear a pale pmk tulle yeil and will carry sweet peas and rose buds with a prayer book. The bridegroom Is the younger son of Mr and Mrs E. P. Gent, of Chelmsford Street, Flemington.
