During WW 2 Member of Report and Control Centres,Sevenoaks,Kent RDC,and served 20th Battalion Kent Home Guard.
Chartered Surveyor.Articled in1906 to Sir John H Oakley of Daniel Smith, Son and Oakley.
Chairman Junior Organisation of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in1922.
Appointed a partner in 1922,thereafter becoming senior partner for many years.
Retired in Dec.1967.
Partner Messrs.Cronk of Sevenoaks,Kent.
Surveyor to Worshipful Company of Fishmongers in the City of London in 1939,agent to Portman Settled Estates in 1944.
President of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors 1945/6 announcing "Royal" designation 1946.

Worked with Lord Rayne(1918-2003) to persuade the Church Commissioners to develope their large property holdings.
