  General Notes:

On All Fools Day in 1843,James Dare printed Westons first newspaper called the Westonian,a monthly of 4 pages.The paper grew steadily becoming the Westonian and Somerset Mercury in 1845.After many name changes it is known taday as the Weston and
Somerset Mercury.In 1860 Dare took on a future proprietor William Bryant Frampton.Soon thereafter Dare retired.
Dare's original Weston Printing Press of 1841 is still in existence.
A portrait of Dare exists as one of the Weston Worthies series held in the Weston museum.Copies are available on request.

James married Henrietta Fox [767] [MRIN: 527]. (Henrietta Fox [767] was born in 1812 and died on 11 Feb 1897.)
