Qualified as a mechanical engineer and worked on the London underground.
Lived and worked as an engineer in the Colonial service in Bombay and Poona,India for over 30 years from 1905 to 1935.
Was in India for the First World War.
Based in Southhampton for Second World War.A major in the army engineers.
Later lived in Hordle and then in Barnes Road,Milford on Sea,Hampshire.(moved there in 1952)
His ashes were scattered at Milford on Sea.
There is a memorial stone at All Saints Church,Milford on Sea.
Bernard married Nora Constance Pim [62] [MRIN: 19], daughter of Unknown and Unknown, on 19 Nov 1910 in Colombo, Ceylon. (Nora Constance Pim [62] was born on 26 Jun 1882 in Streatham and died on 15 Apr 1967 in Milford on Sea.)
